58 days of shutdown – that’s how we used it: ready, set, … HopeLit!

Nov 30, 2020 | Lockdown Blog

For the past eight weeks, seven full-time HopeLit friends and countless others have been working on developing a platform for children and parents, which should be one thing more than anything else right now: Giving hope. And it should also be encouraging and fun. So basically: something to have a good time with, with surprises. The only thing missing is chocolate. Still, we’re pretty much convinced that HopeLit is fun. For young and old.

What to expect?

  • 29 HopeLitters
  • 1 HopeLit
  • 2 publishers
  • 21 texts (not all are on the homepage yet)
  • Fun activities
  • Information & tips
  • Great things from others

And now: take a look around. Discover our world: oh, the crafting, sawing, and hammering we’ve done, the pictures we’ve painted and drawn, the texts we’ve written and the layouts we’ve created in the past eight weeks! Go on a voyage of discovery through HopeLit. Read, listen, have a look, make your own book!

If you think we’ve made something good, tell others about it. Let the dandelion parachutes fly. All over the world. Because right now, all the world needs hope.

We want to use our skills to do our part. Each of us, working in our specialties.

From all of us at HopeLit, we wish you all the best.

Success!

You want to celebrate with us, bring on the popping champagne corks? Then get fancy, put on that little black dress or your finest suit (there isn’t much else to dress up for at the moment!) and raise a glass with us, or write to us with your thoughts about HopeLit. Both congratulations and constructive criticism are welcome.

At some point, we will also be on Facebook and Insta. Until then, please send your thoughts to: hallo@hopelit.de

And also let us know whether we can use your name on the homepage, and if so: your first name? Last name?

And now: raise a glass with us.

Indeed, they are, yeah. Yes…They are all here for your birthday,….
All … places are laid out?
All laid out …”

A really great thing, dear Claudia,

so much respect for what you have created! I think that’s great and it shows how much and how quickly something can happen if someone is as creative, brave and decisive as you are! Thank you!

Best,

Eva

Feedback on “Mom, I’m Scared”

A very touching story with many thoughts that we all experience often. Children express their thoughts and what do we do as parents? A wonderful solution. Really beautifully illustrated as well.

Thanks for the great text

Further congratulations:

Dear Ms. Gliemann,

I was very happy about your email, especially the contents. I forwarded the email to my colleagues in child and adolescent psychiatry and received positive feedback shortly before the end of the day.

At 7 pm, I toasted you and your colleagues with a glass of white wine. You did something really great. I haven’t looked at everything yet, but I’ll use it for myself and my patients, young and old.

All the best,

Jürgen Fenk

Dear Ms. Gliemann,

Thank you for this interesting information! Your initiative and commitment has borne a lot of creative fruit. I think the texts will be very helpful in talking to children about the pandemic. I particularly appreciated the idea of getting children more involved by coloring in certain pages. This method will particularly help to process the feelings that are created and and reinforced by the pandemic. I wish HopeLIt every success.

Best regards,

Prof. Dr. Silvia Denner, Dortmund
